A fifth state – South Dakota – has decided that guns made, sold and used within its borders no longer are subject to the whims of the federal government through its rule-making arm in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and two supporters of the growing groundswell say they hope Washington soon will be taking note.  South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds has signed into law his state’s version of a Firearms Freedom Act that first was launched in Montana. It already is law there, in Tennessee, Utah and Wyoming, which took the unusual step of specifying criminal penalties – including both fines and jail time – for federal agents attempting to enforce a federal law on a “personal firearm” in the Cowboy State.

According to a report in the Dakota Voice, the new South Dakota law addresses the “rights of states which have been carelessly trampled by the federal government for decades. As the federal government has radically overstepped is constitutional limitations in the past year or so, an explosion of states have begun re-asserting their rights not only with regard to firearms, but also in shielding themselves against government health care, cap and trade global warming taxes, and more,” the report said.

Officials said the agreement to begin the $7.6 billion project stipulated the pumping of 750 million cubic feet of gas per day by 2015.

In June, I met with members of both parties, and assigned Secretary Napolitano to work with them and key constituencies around the country to craft a comprehensive approach that will finally fix our broken immigration system. My Administration will be consulting further with the Senators on the details of their proposal, but a critical next step will be to translate their framework into a legislative proposal, and for Congress to act at the earliest possible opportunity.

Hey Washington, can you hear us now?

First up, Jeff Kuhner of the WaTimes, with strong words that I stand behind 100%.

The Slaughter Solution is a dagger aimed at the heart of our system of checks and balances. It would enable the Democrats to establish an ominous precedent: The lawmaking process can be rigged to ensure the passage of any legislation without democratic accountability or even a congressional majority. It is the road to a soft tyranny. James Madison must be turning in his grave.

Mr. Obama is imposing a leftist revolution. Since coming to office, he has behaved without any constitutional restraints. The power of the federal government has exploded. He has de facto nationalized key sectors of American life - the big banks, financial institutions, the automakers, large tracts of energy-rich land from Montana to New Mexico. His cap-and-trade proposal, along with a newly empowered Environmental Protection Agency, seeks to impose massive new taxes and regulations upon industry. It is a form of green socialism: Much of the economy would fall under a command-and-control bureaucratic corporatist state. Mr. Obama even wants the government to take over student loans.

[...] Mr. Obama is willing to devour his presidency, his party’s congressional majority and - most disturbing - our democratic institutional safeguards to enact it. He is a reckless ideologue who is willing to sacrifice the country’s stability in pursuit of a socialist utopia.

The Slaughter Solution is a poisoned chalice. By drinking from it, the Democrats would not only commit political suicide. They would guarantee that any bill signed by Mr. Obama is illegitimate, illegal and blatantly unconstitutional. It would be worse than a strategic blunder; it would be a crime - a moral crime against the American people and a direct abrogation of the Constitution and our very democracy.

It would open Mr. Obama, as well as key congressional leaders such as Mrs. Pelosi, to impeachment. The Slaughter Solution would replace the rule of law with arbitrary one-party rule. It violates the entire basis of our constitutional government - meeting the threshold of “high crimes and misdemeanors.” If it’s enacted, Republicans should campaign for the November elections not only on repealing Obamacare, but on removing Mr. Obama and his gang of leftist thugs from office.

Got that? Strong words, indeed. Obama/Pelosi/Reid have over-stepped to the tune of impeachment. The dies have been cast; November is not far away. Being a lame-duck president should be the least of his worries at this point.

Regardless of a Yes/No vote, his presidency will never recover. No RESET button can fix the mess he’s made for himself and his party.

How the Democrats must be privately cursing Obama right now. Things could have been so different. If he had had more political sense and less personal hubris they could have passed a healthcare bill with bipartisan (read RINO) support that would have served as a nifty foundation for an American NHS. Instead, he has squandered his political capital and imperiled his party’s majority. How can they not be blaming him for the gathering tsunami of 2010?

…Obama has already totaled his presidency and his majority, regardless of what happens with healthcare reform. Thanks to him, there is no “good” way for House Democrats to vote. Either choice leads to heartache, and, though he had ample help from Pelosi, Reid, and friends, Obama is the one to blame. Passing healthcare now will not hit the reset button for the Democrats and transport them back to January 20, 2009, when they were riding the giant wave instead of waiting to be swept away by it.

And what’s worse, in addition to ruining his own party, Obama has created a backlash, a populace hypersensitized to and willing to fight against government overreaching. We’re taking part in a national civics lesson — call it No Citizen Left Behind.

I like that - No Citizen Left Behind.

It’s not like the populace is asleep at the wheel. HotAir reports, “In just 14 months, he has made himself more unpopular than his predecessor, at least by the measure of strong disapproval.” See for yourself; here are the Rasmussen numbers. He only has himself to blame.

At this point in time, the Red Queen does not have the votes. But who knows what spells she’ll chant or saints she’ll pray to to work her evil deeds.

Ironically, Americans are known as freedom fighters, coming to the aid and rescue of many countries, freeing and securing them from tyranny. Presently, Americans find themselves fighting for their own freedom from tyranny under Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the Democrat-led Congress. The American people have been consistent and clear in their will: kill the ObamaCare bill.

We all agree that the Democrats are committing political suicide and a mauling is going to take place in November with the GOP gaining a significant number of seats in Congress–maybe even the long shot of a 2/3 majority to override any presidential vetoes and even impeach Obama and members of Congress. Goals, indeed.

Americans keep asking what is going on in this country because they just cannot grasp the tyranny the country is experiencing. Clearly, there is an underlying plan that is being [en]forced, against our will, because Obama knows this is be the last time in possibly a generation the progressive Democrats will have the power to execute the fall of America into a socialistic state–their ultimate goal. Maybe this is what Obama explained to Rep. Dennis Kucinich in private on Air Force One to cause him to switch his vote from no to yes.

There can be no other explanation for the Democrats’ irrational behavior other than the reality that they are one House vote from fulfilling the decades-long, gradual implementation of Fabian Socialism in America and total control over the American people through taxation and their health care.

Furthermore, it does appear that Obama’s agenda is all part of the Fabian plan and the legislative war Obama and Congress are waging against Americans in the name of “change” is most definitely symbolic of Fabian Socialism:

One stroke of genius was that instead of advocating a Socialist State, they assisted in the implementation of the Welfare State, which as we should all know is merely a few steps away from a purely Socialistic State. It was, of course, implemented gradually, and played upon the weaknesses of human nature to gain popularity. Unlike the usual Socialist points of views, the Fabians didn’t advocate complete State ownership of businesses, industry, agriculture or land, instead they sought to involve the State into very specific areas of importance such as electric power production, transportation, precious metals and of course, credit. The remaining balance of economic systems would be left to the private sector however; it would be highly regulated by the State and operated according to the wishes of the State.

In 1942, Stuart Chase, in his book “The Road We Are Traveling” outlined the “tenets” the Fabians had in mind. It’s remarkable if you compare the plan written in 1942 to 2010. This article lays out the plan succinctly:

1. Strong, centralized government.

2. Powerful Executive at the expense of Congress and the Judicial.

3. Government controlled banking, credit and securities exchange.

4. Government control over employment.

5. Unemployment insurance, old age pensions.

6. Universal medical care, food and housing programs.

7. Access to unlimited government borrowing.

8. A managed monetary system.

9. Government control over foreign trade.

10. Government control over natural energy sources, transportation and agricultural production.

11. Government regulation of labor.

12. Youth camps devoted to health discipline, community service and ideological teaching consistent with those of the authorities.

13. Heavy progressive taxation.

Furthermore, Obama is consistent in the Fabian goal of usurping congressional authority as well as state’s rights by shifting the power to the executive branch–look at the czars, EPA trying to enforce cap and trade, stealth legislating and writing bills, takeover of the census, and shifting of power to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, as well as decimating the health insurance industry, medical innovation, and the US health system in total.

Sound all too familiar? Let’s go back to the Obama campaign and what was promised. He did tell Americans what he was going to do, but lied in the end when it came to that actual application.

We are watching the fall of America, by design, led by the Fabian Socialistic Obama administration. It’s interesting to point out the main symbol of Fabian Socialists–a “wolf wrapped in a sheep’s skin”. And an interesting quote from the Fabians is:

Evidence of that claim is:

Now, another extremely important point of understanding of the Fabian Socialist can be found in a book by Colonel House called Philip Dru: Administrator. In this book Colonel House describes the political agenda of the Fabians in the implementation of the New World Order under the Administration of the Fabian Socialists. It is a very scary scenario and the strategies found in this book have been enacted, step by step, stage by stage, ever since it was written. Within it can be found the plan of having a small, select group of powerful insiders causing a depression which compels the country to elect a man who just happens to talk to the people in what is called “fireside chats” in which this newly elected president will introduce and launch a plan called “The New Era”. [now remember this book was written in 1912] From that point, these insiders [Fabians]control the government, control the banks and corporations, weaken the country to the point that there is a very real chance of society splitting in civil war, at which point a dictatorship is imposed on the justification of keeping the country together.

As you read, keep in mind some famous Fabians are Former British PM Tony Blair, current PM Gordon Brown, George Soros, Obama economist Jason Furman, and most notable, besides Obama, Peter Orzag, Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Take to heart that so many of Obama’s key advisors are graduates of the London School of Economics, which was founded by the Fabians–and is no coincidence.

Also, not a coincidence is the news that the US and UK may lose their AAA ratings. Does anyone think that this is part of the plan? And by the way, the Fabians founded the British Labour Party, which is the current majority party in England. That should explain why Obama snubs Brown; they are both vying for the title of the one who completes the New World Order.

Healthcare Reform Takeover

Details. Details. Details.

What the President and progressive liberals DON’T want you to know.

I have just finished reading the proposed Healthcare Reform Bill that will be “deemed” and “passed” into law after this weekend’s farce “vote”.

To say it is complex and difficult to understand is an understatement. I believe they wrote it this way so they (they=those voting Yea to this monstrosity bill) can fool the American public with “reform” versus what this bill will actually do. Case in point, did you know…

· Final decisions regarding your healthcare will NOT be made by you and your doctor; they will be made by a newly created position of Commissioner of the Health Benefits Advisory Committee (Page1062, Line17).

· The Health Benefits Advisory Committee will determine what is covered and what is not, they will decide what is covered under essential, enhanced and premium plans (Page 1062, Line17).

· The Bill states that the Health Benefits Advisory Committee and Commissioner will determine the essential benefits, general treatments, items, and services you need and get (Page 1066, Line16).

· So who makes up this Health Benefits Advisory Committee? Well, its 25 people; 9 who are APPOINTED BY THE PRESIDENT; 9 who are appointed by the Comptroller of the United States (the Finance Guy); and another 8 who are also APPOINTED by the President. Of these appointees, they will come from various groups representing YOU, including; “experts in racial and ethnics disparagements”, “labor” (think:unions) and ONE (1) “healthcare professional” (Page1064, Line11). Do you think they represent YOU?

· Why a Health Benefits Advisory Committee? Because they want to “protect” you (Page37, Line1)

· What about preventative medicine? Good question…well, for preventative healthcare the Health Benefits Advisory Committee will create a Task Force on Preventative Services (Page1992, Line8) to review and advise which preventative services you and your family will receive, including vaccines, treatments and care (Page 28, Line1). What else is listed under Preventative Services? Would you believe Maternity, Well baby, and Well Child Care (Page 1061, Line 3) are listed as preventative medicines? Yes, the Government will now tell you what care, vaccines, treatment your child will and will not receive. But not yet, you see those healthcare benefits are currently listed on the NO Cost-sharing List meaning the Health Benefits Advisory Committee and Task force still need to review and determine what services will be covered. Yeah like I said, takeover!

· As we have been told, “the government currently does not sponsor abortions” but ask yourself two questions; why is maternity listed as a preventative service? And, why does the term “abortion” not appear anywhere in this 2310 page document? If the federal government absolutely did not want your tax dollars going towards abortion wouldn’t they have stated that someplace within this document? I think “preventative services-maternity” might be government code for “preventative pregnancy”.

· Three more important items within this bill; first, each State can put demands on your coverage and those demands must also be met. So, this is really not universal healthcare for all. Each state can and probably will be different. BUT, the cost will be shared across the board. Remember the Health Benefits Advisory Committee and Commissioner will determine what is “best for all” (Page 1992, Line 8).

· The second item is enrollment. The President will establish community organizers (ACORN?) to enroll you and your family (Page 1144, Line 3 and Page 1149, Line 15). Can we trust community organizer with our healthcare information?

· And Finally, Your EMPLOYER can be fine $100 per day for each day they don’t provide you with this insurance. (Page 1212, Line 11) Do you think that will drive job creation?

So there you are folks, is this healthcare reform you want?

The progressive are hoping you will not take the time to research this bill but you need READ IT. Look up the page and line numbers I pointed out and see for yourself. Then call you state senator and representative and say NO! But you must act now because the progressives are about t make this law.

Tick, tick, tick, tick….the clock is running.

Obama once again finds someone to blame - believe it may have been our Nation.

Well that didn't take very long, in January 2009 Rasmussen reported In the final full month of his Presidency, just 13% of American adults said they Strongly Approved of the way that George W. Bush performed his job as president. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapproved. This morning, the same Rasmussen Presidential Tracking Poll reported that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove of his performance. (I wonder if that means he will start blaming everything on Obama).

The health care bill isn’t a foregone conclusion just yet, but I’ve come to terms with the likelihood of its passage. Greater minds than mine know whether any of it can be undone at some point in the future, but what remains in the aftermath of the debate is a newly educated populace. We owe Mr. Obama a debt of gratitude for that.

We’ve learned about the filibuster and the reconciliation process. We’ve learned that bills really CAN be passed without being voted on. We’ve learned that we can “deem” things done without having to actually do them. AND, we’ve learned that bribery and corruption are only so illegal as the gift given in exchange for the specific special political favor. We still can’t steal from each other for our direct personal gain, but we CAN steal if the stolen goods are redistributed to a large enough group of people.

Remember - it wasn’t so very long ago that Republicans were fairly faulted for not doing the activism thing very well; the VRWC was never known for doing protests in great numbers or with very much effectiveness. The health care debate, among others, has changed all that. The question of whether the Federal Government should be allowed to take over 1/6 of the economy and be allowed to make our health care decisions for us has changed much of the group-think dynamic in America, and the ensuing argument between her citizens can be credited with having given birth to the Tea Party movement (among others). It has also given us a glimpse into the future of the Public discourse by way of the new dynamic at Town Hall meetings.

Going forward, these are very good things.

The United States of America is great for a number of reasons. Its commitment to liberty, dedication to charity, defense of its friends and freedom around the globe, historical reliance on the individual and on free markets, and in my opinion, national reverence for the Almighty, are among those things that make our nation the greatest the world has ever known. But perhaps second only to our collective Faith in God – our commitment to the rule of law sets us apart and serves as the foundation for our strength and prosperity. One need not look any farther than our southern neighbors in Mexico to see what the world looks like when the rule of law is abandoned.

In America, the rule of law is under direct attack. And unfortunately the frontal assault comes primarily from the President of the United States, the Attorney General, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, to name a few.

Example #1: The President and the Attorney General fraudulently and recklessly declare that terrorists can and should be convicted in civilian courts, yet will not say what will happen if these terrorists are found innocent - saying only that “this will not happen.” (see, e.g. Andy McCarthy here, and generally). By doing so, they make a mockery of the very rule of law they pretend to be protecting - and they weaken our national security in the process.

Example #2: The President and the Speaker of the House are on the verge of colluding to pass a bill that will effectively nationalize 1/6 of our economy, turn our personal healthcare decisions over to bureaucrats, spend trillions of dollars – and they will do so without actually having passed the bill in both Houses. Even if one doesn’t think this is unconstitutional in the sense one might get the Court to strike it down (though sue we should – and kudos to Mark Levin and Landmark Legal for preparing to do so) – it definitively, most assuredly, turns the Constitution and the rule of law on its head – and dangerously so.

Suffice it to say that President Obama and his minions arrogantly and callously barrel full steam ahead with total reckless disregard for the Constitution and the rule of law – and it’s not just our national security and healthcare that is at stake. It is our very way of life. The rule of law cannot be compartmentalized – when we weaken it in one respect, we weaken it in all respects – and thus property rights, faith in our system of justice, belief in our elected leaders and virtually every link between citizen and government is destroyed.

So what to do? We continue to fight and we fight harder. We fight this weekend (see gopcodered and call Congress). We fight in the Senate. We get our states to pass laws contrary to this unconstitutional intrusion by the national government (see: 30 states have taken or are taking action… do more). We sue – and sue in multiple places for multiple reasons (see, e.g. Levin above, VA AG Ken Cucinelli preparing to sue, and numerous other states as well). We crush democrats in the fall (give money to conservative candidates like Marco Rubio, Mike Lee in Utah over establishmentarian and pro-government healthcare Bob Bennett), we repeal it (see: www.repealit.org)– and most of all, we all simply say, “hell no.”

Like most Americans, I am committed to God, to liberty, to self-reliance and to taking care of my loved ones as I see fit. No one – and I really mean NO ONE – will ever get in the way of those things. I will fight with every ounce of my being to be able to give to my son his birthright – that of being an American – and to have that mean something. I will not allow a self-absorbed, narcissistic fool hell bent on creating a totalitarian state not even in the name of compassion, but rather, in the name of himself, to destroy the rule of law, and thus the nation. Game on.

KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF MY BODY!  It has long been a slogan of the pro-choice movement.  Well, we have a new pro-choice movement.  The freedom to make our own health care choices and decisions.  As congress moves toward passing legislation that will bring the federal government into every aspect of our health care, should this not be a battle cry for those of us rallying to stop this bill?

The need to control the cost of health care is pretty much accepted by all.  However, more government is not the answer.  Medicaid and Medicare are not exactly success stories.  When Medicare was enacted in 1966 it cost $3 billion.  It was projected to cost $12 billion in 1990 - 1990 true cost? $107billion.  Medicare’s 2008 outlay?  $599 billion.  That’s a 20,000% increase in 42 years.  So those CBO projections the Democrats are crowing about…let’s just say they’re not too reliable.

The dirty truth is to control costs this bill intends to ration care.  When you hear “best practices” read rationed care.  Is every person the same?  Does every drug work the same for every person?  Does every therapy work the same for every person?  The answer to every question is no.  What the government will seek the do however, it to find a one size fits all solution to every health care issue.  What if you or your loved one don’t respond?  Tough luck.  Those who deny this will happen are either willing accomplices or just don’t want to face the facts.  Look to England and Canada to fact the future.  I have posted some links below - courtesy of Mark Levin’s website  www.marklevinshow.com  - where you can read stories from local newspapers about the horrors of socialized medicine.

Any way this bill is parsed it takes health care choices and decision making away from the patient and doctor.  It must be stopped.
